How do people live in a violent and corrupt world
without the Lord and the Book?
I shudder to think.
R.G. Lee said, "They are blind and blind
to the fact that they are blind!"

Happy Birthday, Allen!
-
Today is my husband's 43rd birthday. We did a little birthday shopping today.
But his party will be tomorrow evening. All his family will be coming.
We went out to eat tonight, and the waitresses all sang "Happy Birthday,"
as well giving him a free bowl of ice cream.
-
I was looking through my Bible today, and came across
a few pages of quotes that my husband has used
through the years, and I will share them with you now.
-
Wherever the Bible goes, you will find christians.
-
There are some christians like chocolate, they melt in the heat.
-
Help me to live clean in a dirty world.
-
Keep short accounts with the Lord.
-
Sometimes, you have to be offensive to be effective.
-
Anything that keeps us from the Bible is our enemy.
-
Judge everything by the Bible.
-
The path of sin is a hard road.
-
When you worry, you don't trust God.
-
Money is a poor master.
-
When you take the wrong road, turn around!
-
Don't grow cold on the Lord.
-
It does matter what you believe.
-
Stand for the Lord, even if you are the only one!
-
Finish well.
-
Be a finisher, and not a quitter.
-
Keep the gospel flag flying high.
-
Don't apologize for believing the Bible.
-
You don't have to be a football for the devil to kick around.
-
The devil never plays fair!
-
Get rid of the bad things, and replace it with good things.
-
What God thinks is more important!
-
Meet God before you meet the devil.
-
Never tolerate what God condemns!
-
You can't build unless you have a good foundation.
-
We need to read our Bibles.
-
A shepherd protects his flock.
-
Aim to please God!
-
The man that tells you the truth is not your enemy.
-
Happy Birthday, Allen!
Have a wonderful day, and party tomorrow!
I love you,
Chyrll

The Father's Hand
-
While through this changing world below
I would not choose my path to go;
'Tis Father's hand that leadeth me,
Then O how safe His child must be.
-
Sometimes we walk in sunshine bright,
Sometimes in darkness of the night;
Sometimes the way I cannot see
But Father's hand still leadeth me.
-
Sometimes there seems no way to take,
But Father's hand a way doth make.
Sometimes I hear Him gently say,
"Come, follow Me, this is the way."
-
Why should I mind the way I go?
His way is best for me, I know.
He is my strength, my truth, my way,
He is my comfort, rod, and stay.
-
So on we travel hand in hand,
Bound for the heavenly promised land.
Always through all Eternity,
I'll praise His name for leading me.

Yesterday, we did a tour of the Hiddenite Center, and I liked this writing desk.

I will give everyone a quick update on my sister, Kathy. She went back to the doctor yesterday and they took her I.V. line out, so no more antibioctics. They changed her insulin, and told her she can start back to her cleaning jobs. She is gaining back her energy, we thank the Lord for her recovery. A big THANK YOU everyone for remembering her in PRAYER!!!!!!

We are looking forward to Church on Sunday. It will be the Church's 41st anniversary. We will have dinner afterwards, so I am in the planning stages of what I will be bringing. So far I will make a Corn Bread Salad, Chicken Casserole, I am still thinking about a good Dessert, if anyone has any ideas just let me know.
-
There was an Evangelist at Church last night, he sends tracts all around the world. He had a display set up with lots of tracts for people to give out. He did a great job preaching last night as well. He preached about people putting things before the Lord, and how we should stand for the truth and not compromise. It was a blessing! Allen's sister and family came to our house after Church for some Chicken Casserole, etc. Amanda made Brownies which we enjoyed with ice cream. Until Next time have a wonderful day.

-
I took a piece of plastic clay
And idly fashioned it one day,
And as my fingers pressed it still,
It moved and yielded to my will.
I came again when days were past--
The bit of clay was hard at last;
The form I gave it, it still bore,
But I could change that form no more.
I took a piece of living clay
And gently formed it day by day,
And moulded with my power and art
A young child's soft and yielding heart.
I came again when years were gone--
It was a man I looked upon;
He still that early impress wore,
And I could change him nevermore.

I want to thank everyone for praying for my sister, Kathy. Her blood sugar went up to 1800 almost 3 weeks ago. She also had double pneumonia and the flu. She stayed in Intensive Care for a week and a half. But praise the Lord, she is doing better now. Hannah and I flew up to Syracuse, New York and stayed 5 days with her and her family. We will be posting some pictures over the next few days.

Kathy and her husband, Mark.

Mark took everyone out on Friday to eat at the Old Country Buffet.
